#THE ARCHIVE VS FSNOTES VS NVULTRA ARCHIVE#
I MUCH prefer the workflow I have with The Archive (and all the great Macros built by users here) but the images issue is becoming critical for me personally. We (Fletcher Penney and myself) still don’t have a final name, but the app is really solid and I’m excited to be bringing people on board to put it through its paces. Sublime Text + Marked2 (extremely nice text editor + quality realtime markdown preview, save file to icloud=it’s synced, it’s just. While I love the Archive, I find myself switching to Zettlr or FSNotes more and more frequently just because they work nicely with images (I've given up waiting for NVUltra lol). After all these years of promising the successor to nvALT, it’s amazing to be able to tell you that the nvUltra beta has begun.
fsnot.es/, bestest FSNotes has full Markdown support, integrates git, and supports a number of Markdown extensions such as Mermaid, LaTeX and MathJax. We have used some of these posts to build our list of alternatives and similar projects. So I’m just going to note few interesting ones:įSNotes (simple markdown writer/good sync), Posts with mentions or reviews of fsnotes.
You can go from just text editor, to purely markdown editor/note taker, a distraction free writing app, a screenwriting app, and then apps that have storyboarding and such. It really depends on what your needs are.
